Our Dr. Visit...

I was going to wait until tomorrow to do this post but with my pregnancy memory I might forget all that needs to be said. lol
Me, Jared and my mom went to the Dr. this morning. They take my blood pressure and say it is elevated, no problem though b/c it was just nerves. I had gained 1 pound in 3 weeks, so I am up to 3 pounds total gain. Just like every time I go in they ask for a urine sample. So here I go into the bathroom, I start thinking about my blood pressure, thinking about the idiot who wrote on the bathroom door "I love my baby", thinking about my flu shot etc.... and then I was finished peeing and SUPRISE! I forgot to pee in the cup!! The idiot who wrote on the wall wasn't so stupid now, I bet she at least remembered to use the cup! At this point I was either going to laugh or cry. I choose to laugh, I am sure the nurses are used to pregnant women loosing their mind! So I then had to go out and admit my stupidy to momma, Jared and the nurses. I laughed until I cried.
Alright, off to the ultrasound room!! She quickly sets me up and says she thinks it is a little girl! She does all the measurements and says everything is measuring perfectly. (I was kinda wondering if they had it wrong since I am not showing or gaining - she said I was just lucky) The only thing they saw that could be a problem with the baby is her little kidney's were swollen b/c they had fluid in them - meaning they are not emptying out completely. Dr. Moffet said she normally sees this in boys and Jared asked if he still had a chance for a boy and she quickly said nope! So we now need to pray for her little kidneys! This is often corrected in time but they will do another ultrasound at 32 weeks just to check. Also, I will have to have a shot at 30 weeks b/c my blood type is 0- and this could be a problem in the future. Long and confusing story short, they have to "hide" my blood from the babies b/c I could build up antibodies to fight off the baby thinking it's bad. I don' t really understand it completely but all I know is I will get a shot to make everything better. I met two ladies in the waiting room who said they hated me they said they were huge at 5 months and they couldn't believe I was even pregnant let alone 5 months and still in my regular clothes. I promise to try and get some pictures up soon. See, belly pictures have always kinda freaked me out, so I am not sure I can go that far but I will at least do something so you can track my progress. I believe that's all to report for now, I go back in 4 weeks for another check up. Thank you for all your prayers, love and support. I love hearing from you! FYI: She is very active now and I feel her kicking all the time! If I can figure out how to put the ultrasound pictures or video up I will and you can see her kick me and her 4d pictures!!

I'll try one more time to figure this out. I'll never forget the look on your face when you came out of the bathroom forgetting to pee. I just start laughing when I think about it. Now you understand my memory (or lack of it)but you have a excuse Mine is just old age.

I came across your blog thru Laura's blog. I just thought I would tell you that both of my babies had the same problem with their kidneys. My son, Ben's corrected themselves by the next visit, but my daughter Katie's didn't correct themselves until about a month before she was born. Don't panic. It's perfectly normal and I hope it clears up quickly for you!

Hey guys!!! Well, I know that it's probably still 129 days or so yet, but it's just kinda been botherin me that Marley doesn't have a middle name yet :-)

Do you have something in mind already? What do you think about Matana? It means "gift" in Hebrew...

Not trying to rush things or anything, but how long till you think she's gonna be ready for fiddle lessons? Don't worry...one of the first things I'll teach her is to use one of her feet to stand on her other foot, to keep her from moving around all over! :P Or maybe she won't have the same problem as her mom! Lol...

Well, I'm excited...but I better get back to work!
