Today we had our first ultrasound and exam. Only one baby - sorry Momma and Keaton.
They found the babies heart beat with no problem and it was going strong. Dr. Vick said that the risk of miscarriage is 20% until they find the heart beat and once they do, it goes down to 1%. Interesting fact I wasn't aware of. They said I was measuring 8 weeks and 6 days, which was only one day off from the original date they gave me which was March 29th. So yesterday makes me 9 weeks and we can find out the sex between 18 and 20 weeks!! I wanted to go ahead and schedule that appointment today but she wouldn't let me. I go back in 4 weeks to go over my blood work and make sure all is well there. They did say that I would have to have 3 sugar tests instead of 2 because of my daddy's history of being a diabetic and on insulin. I have also had 3 good days! Thank you Jesus!
We also decided on Saturday that we needed a new bedroom suit before the baby comes. Selfish I know! We went and picked that out and they will deliver it on Wednesday! With new furniture comes lots of work. (Oh, we also had to have a new tv :) ) So with the help of Darin and Brian, we got the old furniture moved to goodwill and the new tv mounted on the wall! Thanks guys! My job was to clean the base boards, walls and floors. Needless to say, I am worn out! Also, thanks to Rickey and Debbie we were able to do all this without Trooper being in our way! Thanks for watching our other baby! Well tonight we get to sleep on our mattress on the floor until our other one comes. I just hope its a good nights rest! Thanks for all your love and support.
Until then...

Scratch the last blog...
So let's just scratch the last blog about feeling better, I have started a second round of sickness. Not as bad as the first but still yucky. This round of sickness we can add a persistant twitch in my right eye, hic-ups (even more frequent than before) and a catch in my back. I have always joked that I was given an old lady's body when I was born, (her name is Ethel) well she is really showing herself this week. :) I am now wearing these Sea Bands on my wrist for morning/car sickness. They look like sweat bands so everyone thinks I am hardcore working out. lol, we all know thats a lie. I am not sure if they work, but I can't imagine what I would feel like if I didn't wear them. My mom came up the other day and cleaned out the extra bedroom for me so we can see what space we have and what needs to be done. Needless to say I wasn't very much help to her, I just sat and whinned. I feel sorry for anyone who comes and visits, they suffer right along with me. I don't feel like eating 99% of the time, so therefore I don't think about other people needing to eat! This is what Jared goes through almost every night at supper time. I know things will get better and I will start enjoying this... I just wish it would be soon!

Feeling better . . .
Today is Saturday and I am having a good day, as far as sickness goes. Jared brought me some crackers and I ate them before I even picked my head up and I think that helped! He is out mowing the yard and I have been working on our scrapbook. (I am still doing our wedding, i need to get busy so I can make the baby one too!) Thanks for your prayers and thoughts. Keep praying this all day sickness will go away soon!!

Having a Baby!
What a great time to start a blog...
We just found out on Sunday (August 3rd) that we are gonna have a baby! This comes after a week of sickness while we were in Myrtle Beach. I thought it was car sickness, but it never went away. Jared figured all this out on Saturday night and knew that being pregnant was the only explanation for all the sickness. Needless to say, he didn't sleep well on Saturday night. So Sunday, he convinced me to take a test when we got home from church and 4 test later... it was still positive. We were scared to death!!! We now had to leave and meet Cory, Larissa and Adam for lunch. I wanted to say something so bad but knew I couldn't yet. After the shock wore off we are so excited. Jared is already looking at baby cribs and assessories!
Sunday night I had a melt down, Jared was playing golf with the boys and I had a lot of time to think by myself. I was already worrying about things that will happen in labor etc... I called Larissa (who just had a baby in last Sept.) to come over and hold me! She was here in a flash and helped calm all my fears! After a long talk and prayer we came inside and told Cory and Adam. They were blown away! (I think it freaked Adam out pretty good) The next day the florist brought me flowers from Adam!! That was his way of saying Congratulations and that he got over the weirdness of it. :)
As some of you know my mom has been waiting for this day forever!! All my family was going to Dollywood that day so it was our perfect time to tell as many of my family as we could. So at Dollywood, I whispered it to my niece Keaton to tell the family, and she was so tore up she couldn't/wouldn't say it! So momma can't figure out what's going on so I had to tell her 3 different times before she understood. THEN... she went weak and had to sit down. We had to hurry and leave to make it to the Dr. in time to get blood drawn. All those results came back great and I go for the first ultrasound on August 25th! I know this was a long blog but I wanted to tell my story!
