Marley's First Snow

Where in the world have we been?

We have been here and there but most importantly we have been growing like a little weed. Marley Kate is now 9 months old as of 12/4. She goes to the dr. this week for her 9 month appointment so I don't know her stats just yet. I do know that she is around 23 lbs. !

I was in no hurry to find her first tooth but it showed up on November 28. I think we put it off long enough and it was time! :)

She isn't crawling yet, she is however getting where ever she wants to go by pushing around backwards. That's fine by me. Marley crawling = more stress on mommy!

She is a little jabber mouth and is saying mama, dada, & nanna along with screaming out just to hear her own voice! A few months ago she started growling like a dog - too cute!

I know this is just a tiny update but at least you know we are still alive and kickin! I guess I depend on facebook too much to update everyone but as I always promise.... I'll do better!

4 months old and growing

Marley had her 4 month check up on 7/8/09. This was also a follow up appointment to see how her reflux medication was working. You can see the little bandages on her legs she was getting ready for shots :(

Her stats are:

Head: 16 3/4"

Length: 24 3/4"

Weight: 14.9 pounds

She is such a happy baby when she isn't hurting with her stomach. Dr. Regina has doubled her medication now and also put her on soy formula. I have had to stop breastfeeding so we can have an accurate "test" to see how the soy will do. Dr. Regina said we would be able to tell how this works within one week, well tomorrow is a week and so far Not so good. I will start adding rice into her formula and try that for a week. Next step is Neutramigen that's what Hudson was on and it is $$$$. I believe in prayer and that's what we are doing for our baby girl!

My mom and I have figured out the secret to shots... if the drs. make you wait so long before they come in and see you, baby will be asleep when it's time for shots and she didn't even wimper!! Thank you Lord!

Potty Training at 4 months?

One day last week, my brother Adam told me he read an article for one of his classes saying it is possible to start potty training a child as early as 3 months old. He told me that I was already a month behind and I better get started. I laughed it off saying she couldn't even sit up yet. Well the next time I could tell she needed to go I thought I would try taking her to the potty and SHE DID IT!!

Now for those doubters out there, I by NO means think she is potty trained. I do not think I am hurting one thing by going ahead and teaching her where to go when she needs "to go". Plus I am saving diapers everytime I can tell she needs to go!

As of today 7/15/09 she has used the potty 5 times!! She had to go at Adam's house on Saturday. She had no idea that she would have an audience to witness it though.
